Chelsea have reportedly rejected a £50M bid from Barcelona for winger Willian.
Doubts have emerged over the future of Willian at Stamford Bridge following a breakdown in his relationship with Antonio Conte.
With the Italian set to depart, the Brazilian may well opt to stay put at Stamford Bridge. However, that’s unlikely to stop interested parties trying their luck, as one appears to have done.
According to the Daily Mail, Barcelona lodged a £50M bid for Willian following talks with the players entourage. That offer was rejected by Chelsea, who have given no indication that they’re prepared to part with the 29-year-old.
The report claims that Manchester United are also interested in signing Willian, and could offer even more than £50M in order to sign him this summer.
With so long left in the window, and interest in signing him seemingly so high, there’d be little logic in accepting a bid of any size at this stage.
