Chelsea’s still hold a strong interest in signing AS Monaco midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko, and the Blues could include more than just cash in the deal in order to secure the Frenchman’s signature this summer, according to Buzzsport.
Buzzsport report that Bakayoko’s representatives have held talks with PSG chief Nasser Al-Khelaifi, but Monaco would prefer not to sell the 22-year-old to a fellow French side.
Buzzsport believe that Monaco would rather do business with Premier League champions Chelsea, and hope to raise more than £30million through the sale of Bakayoko.
It is reported by Buzzsport that Chelsea could offer Michy Batshuayi to Monaco in order to ensure the deal goes through, with the Belgian, who spent the majority of the 2016/17 campaign among the substitutes, seeking a new challenge.
Batshuayi has shown great potential in the little we have seen of him on the field, but ultimately he needs to be playing regular first-team football. If he fancies a return to Ligue 1, and Chelsea believe they can use him to secure Bakayoko – it could prove to be an astute move for all parties involved.
