Chelsea’s experience with Brazilians over the years has been hit and miss.
The likes of Alex, Ramires and David Luiz could all be regarded as successes at Stamford Bridge. Oscar, Mineiro and Alexandre Pato – not so much.

The Premier League champions could be set to take the plunge with another, according to UOL Sport. They believe that Chelsea are in the running to sign Bernard of Shakhtar Donetsk.
Who is Bernard?
Bernard made a name for himself at Atlético Mineiro. ESPN reported at the time that his good performances in his home country convinced Shakhtar to fork out a whopping €25M (£22.3M) to secure Bernard’s signature.
Bernard has won seven pieces of silverware during his time in Ukraine, but his form has tailed off and he has not made an appearance for the Brazilian national team since 2014.
A move away from Shakhtar could be exactly what he needs, and UOL Sport claim that Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool are all thought to be monitoring the situation.
