Chelsea are considering making a surprise move to sign Sevilla winger Vitolo, according to the Mirror.

As per the Mirror, Antonio Conte is looking to strengthen his title-winning squad, and is a huge admirer of the 27-year-old.

The Mirror believe that Chelsea are looking to sign Vitolo in order to help Eden Hazard carry the burden of having to challenge on all fronts next campaign, with the Blues being back in the Champions League after a years absence.

The Mirror report that Atletico Madrid are also interested in securing Vitolo’s signature, but their transfer ban means that a deal would not be able to materialise until January, giving Chelsea a free run.

For Marina Granovskaia and Michael Emenalo, signing Vitolo should be fairly straightforward. Pay his release clause, which the Mirror believe to be £35M, and he will be a Chelsea player come next season’s curtain raiser at Stamford Bridge.

This is certainly one to keep an eye on.
