Chelsea are interested in signing Atletico Madrid winger Yannick Carrasco, according to Don Balon.
As per Don Balon, Atletico find themselves in a predicament where several of their star performers have agreed to stay at the club for one more year, and then depart in the 2018 summer transfer window.
The Spanish outlet believe that this applies to Antoine Griezmann, Diego Godin, and Yannick Carrasco. Don Balon report that Chelsea manager Antonio Conte is trying to take full advantage of the uncertainty surrounding the latter’s future.
According to Don Balon, Chelsea have offered Carrasco a mega-money contract, which would double his current wage packet and run over a five-year period.
It is thought that the Belgium international is considering the proposal from the Premier League champions, and it is up to Atletico manager Diego Simeone to convince him to snub the Blues.
This is certainly one to keep an eye on as we enter the depths of the transfer window.
