Chelsea have reportedly been alerted by Inter Milan after the club put up Antonio Candreva for sale. Gazzetta dello Sport reports that the Serie A side are keen on selling him to land former Liverpool attacker Suso from AC Milan.
The Sun add that Chelsea have reignited their interest in him and are set to hold talks with Inter. He joined the Nerazzurri last summer from Lazio but the 30-year-old looks to have already been shown the exit door.
The report in the English newspaper claims that Chelsea tried to sign Candreva earlier this summer but failed to convince Inter to sell him. Things, however, appear to have changed in the past few days and the player is now thought to be close to joining the Blues.
A couple of days ago, Inter Milan boss, Luciano Spalletti claimed that Chelsea ‘could sign’ Candreva before the summer transfer closed. He was quoted by the Daily Mail saying:
“As far as I can tell, Chelsea could try to do something. You [the media] are the ones who always anticipate these situations, so I should ask you.”
