Chelsea are reportedly interested in signing Aston Villa youngster Jack Grealish this summer. The 22-year-old could be loaned straight back to the EFL Championship side as part of the deal.
That’s according to Team Talk, who believe that we are one of several teams hoping to finally prise Grealish away from Villa Park. There is thought to be plenty of Premier League interest in signing him, but Chelsea believe that they could have an edge in the race.
As per the report, Chelsea are prepared to splash £30M on Grealish, as well as loaning him back to Villa for the 2018/19 campaign. It’s believed that he would like to stay at the club for another 12-months, so the move could tick all the boxes for both clubs and the player himself.
Grealish was previously considered one of the hottest prospects in English football. As young men often do, though, he misbehaved and lost his way. Having found his way back onto the straight and narrow, Chelsea’s interest is more than justified.
