Chelsea are set to enter negotiations to sign Arsenal midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain in the coming days, according to Sky Sports.
As per Sky Sports, Blues boss Antonio Conte has been keeping tabs on the situation surrounding Oxlade-Chamberlain with the Gunners, and appears to have been offered some encouragement in his pursuit.
Sky Sports believe that Oxlade-Chamberlain has informed Arsene Wenger that he has no intention of putting pen-to-paper on a contract extension with the terms that are currently on the table. Chelsea look set to swoop to try and take advantage of the situation.
It is reported that Arsenal land in the UK in Sunday, following their friendly clash with Chelsea on Saturday afternoon. Sky Sports claim that Chelsea will open talks to sign Oxlade-Chamberlain within 48 hours of Arsenal’s return to the country.
Oxlade-Chamberlain can play on the wing, in midfield, and also played as a right-wing-back last term. If the price is right, his versatility could be useful in our squad next term.
