Celtic are closing in on striking a deal to sign Chelsea starlet Charly Musonda on an 18-month loan deal, according to the Daily Mail.
Musonda is a product of Chelsea’s academy, which is renown for producing exciting young players, but they rarely get a sniff in the first-team. The Belgian was handed his first ever start for the Blues against Nottingham Forest in the Carabao Cup back in September. He marked the appearance with his first goal for the club.

However, Musonda has not been provided with a genuine opportunity to impress by Antonio Conte since. It appears as though he could be set to depart Stamford Bridge on a temporary basis in order to continue his development.
As per the Daily Mail, Chelsea and Celtic are close to an agreement which would see Musonda join the Scottish giants on loan for 18 months. The tabloid claim that Celtic hope to have the deal completed early next week.
