The agent of reported Chelsea target Jean Michael Seri has revealed that his client is in talks with Napoli over a potential summer move.
We brought you the news yesterday evening that Chelsea are very much interested in signing Seri, but the uncertainty surrounding the managerial situation could scupper the Ivorian’s switch to Stamford Bridge.
It looks as though that report was bang on the money, as Seri now appears to be closing in on a move to Napoli. With Jorginho being heavily linked with Manchester City, Seri would represent a like-for-like replacement in the middle of the park.
The news of his proposed move to the Serie A runners-up has emerged straight from the player’s agent. Franklin Mala is quoted by the Express dealing Chelsea, and any other interested parties, a considerable transfer blow:
“We are in talks with Napoli and he’s tempted by the idea of wearing the jersey.”
“He would really like to play for Napoli and Carlo Ancelotti could get the best out of his characteristics.”
Chelsea either need to act fast or consider alternative options. Seri looks to be Napoli bound, with further misery set to be poured upon Roman Abramovich and co.
