AC Milan are reportedly preparing to launch a monster offer for Lazio midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic.
Milinkovic-Savic, commonly referred to as SMS in order to preserve finger energy, as been linked with Chelsea this summer. We never expected the move to materialise in the recently closed transfer window, but he’s a player that the club clearly have their eye on.
That’s why it’ll come as a concern to the Chelsea hierarchy that AC Milan are thought to be stepping up their pursuit of the Serb. Calciomercato are under the impression that Milan are prepared to offer a package that will eventually be worth more than €100M.
That is an extraordinary amount for a player who, though incredibly talented, is yet to prove that he can handle the responsibility of playing for a top club. We’ll keep an eye on this one. If Milan do offer such an inflated amount, Lazio may well be tempted to sell.
