The agent of reported Chelsea target Alisson Becker has insisted that no deal is imminent.

It had previously been claimed that Alisson was closing in on a move to Stamford Bridge. It was reported that Chelsea had struck a €73M agreement with AS Roma, with Alisson himself already agreeing personal terms ahead of the move.

However, it does not appear as though that is the case. Chelsea may well hold a genuine interest in signing the 25-year-old, but he will not be signing along the dotted line with the Blues just yet.

Alisson’s agent, Ze Maria Neis, who will have have been a busy man in recent weeks amid reported interest from a host of top clubs, has insisted that his client’s full focus remains on the task at hand with Brazil at the World Cup.

He’s quoted by the Express saying:

“Nothing will happen in the next few days. Alisson is 100 per cent focussed on the World Cup.”

It’s going to be hard to turn player’s heads while the possibility of becoming world champions with their country remains. Chelsea have to be patient in order to land their priority transfer targets.
