Chelsea are refusing to grant Michy Batshuayi’s his wish to leave the club this summer, according to the Mirror.
The Mirror believe that Batshuayi wants to leave Stamford Bridge, having been starved of first-team football during his first season on these shores. The tabloid note that there would be no shortage in securing his signature, with West Ham, Rangers, AS Monaco and Sevilla all said to be interested.
However, the Mirror report that Batshuayi will not be allowed to depart until the Premier League champions secure a replacement. It is reported by the Mirror that Chelsea are chasing Romelu Lukaku, but Everton’s £100million asking price could prove to be a stumbling block.
Batshuayi is too good to sit on the bench, and a spell away from the club on loan could be the best option for him. However, it would be a mistake to lose him permanently, he has the potential to go right to the top.
