Chelsea striker Diego Costa is moving closer to joining former employers Atletico Madrid, accoring to Marca.
As per Marca, Chelsea were keen to secure a replacement before allowing Costa to leave the club. That box has now been ticked with the imminent arrival of Alvaro Morata from Real Madrid.
Marca believe that Atletico boss Diego Simeone sees Costa has a priority signing this summer, and representatives of the two clubs are now set to meet to discuss his return to Madrid.
The Spanish outlet believe that Costa is so desperate to push through his return to Atletico that he is prepared to not play until January, rather than go out on loan for the first-half of the season.
Costa came to England and he conquered, if he leaves, he will leave a Premier League champion. If Marca are correct in reporting that he is eager to return to Atletico, then fingers crossed he gets his wish before the end of the transfer window.
