Real Madrid remain interested in signing Chelsea winger Eden Hazard, according to Diario Gol.
As per Diario Gol, the Real Madrid board do not see the idea of signing an injured player as an attractive possibility. Hazard is currently recovering from an ankle fracture he sustained on international duty last month.
However, as it is noted in the report, Hazard’s recovery is ahead of schedule, and he may be match-fit as soon as September.
Diario Gol report that Zinedine Zidane is desperate to recruit Hazard this summer, and the Belgian will do everything he can to be available for Los Blancos’ opening matches of the season if they push to sign him this summer.
It is reported that Chelsea are aware that Hazard wants to move to the Santiago Bernabeu, but did not expect the move to materialise this summer.
Losing Hazard would be absolutely disastrous, so fingers crossed he opts to stay put in West London, and Real Madrid look elsewhere in search of attacking reinforcements.
