Do Juventus regret not cashing-in on Chelsea target Alex Sandro in the summer transfer window? That’s the question asked by Italian outlet Calciomercato.
Sandro is widely considered one of the best full-backs on the planet. In terms of the left-side of the defence, only Real Madrid superstar Marcelo is ahead of his compatriot Sandro.
However, as Calciomercato note, the Juventus defender has not been playing his best football, leaving question marks as to whether the Turin based side should have allowed him to move to Stamford Bridge over the summer.
Calciomercato claim that a fee was agreed between the two sides, but the move never materialised. It is mentioned in the report that talks have resumed between the two parties, and if he is unable to discover his best form, Juventus could be tempted to take the cash and run.
Having started the season in a positive manner, Marcos Alonso’s form has tailed off too. Perhaps it would be a good idea for the Premier League champions to replace the Spaniard, who is continually looking like a liability in our back-line.
