Roman Abramovich has granted Nemanja Matic permission to speak to Manchester United over the possibility of joining the club this summer, according to the Telegraph.
The Telegraph believe that the Red Devils are edging closer to securing a deal to sign Matic. It is claimed that Chelsea have already turned down a £35M proposal from Man United for Matic, but they are expected to return with a higher offer.
Abramovich has now, as per the Telegraph, given the green light to Matic pushing through a £50M transfer to Old Trafford.
Matic has been influential in two title triumphs during his time with Chelsea, but if the Telegraph are to be believed, his days in West London are numbered.
It will undoubtedly be difficult to see him in a Man United shirt, but if we do get a £50M transfer fee in return, as the Telegraph suggest, it would certainly soften the blow.
