Chelsea have been handed a major boost ahead of our clash with Southampton on Saturday afternoon.
The Premier League champions successfully bounced back from their 1-0 defeat to West Ham United with a 3-1 victory over Huddersfield Town midweek. However, the 14 point deficit between ourselves and league leaders Manchester City will be nearly impossible to close – our title pursuit is over.

The situation for us now is clear; we have to finish inside the top four and qualify for the Champions League for next term. The competition this season is tougher than it has ever been, and we cannot afford to continue to drop points in extremely winnable games.
We need a result on Saturday against the Saints, and we’ve already been given a leg-up. It appears as though Alvaro Morata will be back available for the game, see the below tweet by injury expert Ben Dinnery.
Morata has trained for the past couple of days: “He has this pain in his back but he is in contention for tomorrow’s game.” #CFC

Chelsea didn’t miss Morata on Tuesday night, but he is one of the best centre-forwards on the planet, having him back available is a major boost!
