‘Absolute waste of money’ – Man Utd fans turn on former Blue after poor showing in derby

Give me a second to wipe the smug grin off my face so I can write this. Manchester United fans have turned on Nemanja Matic. They’ve had enough.

Matic won two Premier League titles during his time as a Chelsea player, but us fans began to grow frustrated with him towards the end of his time at Stamford Bridge.

He grew lazy in the defensive phase and his distribution in possession was not good enough to justify it. His reputation alone banked us a huge bag of cash following his sale to Man United.

Though the United faithful were keen to convince themselves that they’d landed one hell of a midfielder, they have fast discovered the reality – he’s rather ordinary.

Following their 3-1 defeat in the Manchester derby, many fans’ patience grew thin with Matic, and they didn’t resist from slating him on Twitter. Here’s how some of the fans reacted to his performance on Twitter…
