Nicolas Jackson made it very clear a year ago that he didn’t want to play for Chelsea – he all but forced their hand into letting him go to Bayern Munich on loan even when they tried to pull the plug on the deal.
Everything we’ve heard since then has been trying to convince us that he wouldn’t be back at Chelsea. But things are gradually creeping in a different direction.

Kieran Gill’s piece for the Daily Mail today says that he was told “a couple weeks back” that Chelsea want to give him a chance in preseason, where he could impress new manager Xabi Alonso.
“That’s still the case, as far as I’m aware,” he concluded.
Unless there are serious offers for Jackson from other top teams, we can’t see why Chelsea would let him go or why the Senegal star would object too hard to staying.
