If you’re hoping to see Tiemoue Bakayoko back at Chelsea next season, you better start preparing for the worst.
Bakayoko was, to put it plainly, awful for us last term. There didn’t appear to be any hope of him developing into a player useful for a club like Chelsea.
However, he has successfully turned his form and fortunes around at the San Siro. He’s been incredibly impressive for the Rossoneri, to his credit.
Especially with a transfer ban looming, you could be forgiven for wondering whether Bakayoko could do a job in midfield for us next term.
However, Milan, the club which has housed Bakayoko’s revival, are hoping to see him continue his fine form with them beyond this season.
Paolo Maldini has confirmed this during an exclusive interview with Italian outlet Mediaset, during which he praised the impact the Frenchman has made.
Unless we are able to convince them that Mateo Kovacic is worth purchasing, and rid ourselves of him in the process, Bakayoko may well be in Milan for good.
