Mundo Deportivo are pushing the rumours about Marc Cucurella leaving Chelsea pretty hard, and today they’ve got another update which continues to make his chances of staying at the club look pretty slim.
They write that Barcelona is his “preferred destination,” but note that it’s not going to be an easy deal to pull off. The Catalan club’s priority is “securing a new centre forward,” and they will have to sort that out before anything else.

Signing Cucurella will require some sales, and the Spaniard is “aware that his potential arrival is closely tied to the future of Alejandro Balde.”
“For Barcelona to seriously pursue [Cucurella], Balde would likely need to leave first.”
Now it seems Chelsea fans will have to start paying as much attention to Balde rumours as Cucurella rumours. The 22 year old has shown plenty of talent, and we can imagine there being tons of interest in him – it’s just been injuries which have held him back in recent years.
