Hold onto your hats ladies and gents…

The feud between Jose Mourinho and Antonio Conte may well have just reached boiling point.

As the Telegraph report, Mourinho bizarrely felt the need to bring up the match-fixing scandal that Conte was involved in during his time in Italy. Conte was cleared of any wrong-doing and the matter was put to bed – until the man formerly known as ‘The Special One’ decided to unearth it.

Understandably, Conte is not a happy man. After Chelsea’s 0-0 draw with Norwich City at Carrow Road, which will have undoubtedly further irked the Italian, Conte fired back at the former Chelsea manager.

Conte is quoted by the Telegraph pulling no punches during his post-match interview and branding Mourinho a “little man”:

“You don’t know very well the situation. But I know him very well in the past. In the past he was a little man in many circumstances, is a little man in the present and for sure he will be a little man in the future. You know him very well. The level is low.”

He wasn’t done there, however, Conte added that Mourinho is not only a little man, but also a “fake”! The Telegraph quote him once again saying:

“I remember when he offend Ranieri for his English. Then when Ranieri was sacked he put on a shirt for Ranieri. You are a fake.”

It’s good to see that Conte is not prepared to stand by and watch Mourinho slander him. Something tells us that this war of words is only just getting started…
