Chelsea are close to confirming Maurizio Sarri as the club’s new manager, according to the Daily Mail.

Antonio Conte is set to depart Stamford Bridge after two-years in charge of Chelsea. It’s been a rollercoaster ride, from the Premier League title-triumph to our first defeat at home to Tottenham Hotspur in 28-years.

However you’ll remember Conte, he’s certainly left his mark. We’re about to embark on a new chapter. The Maurizio Sarri chapter. And we’re incredibly optimistic.

Sarri did a superb job during his time with Napoli, leading them to a second-place finish in Serie A last term.

He hope that he can replicate that transformation in West London, but in order to do so, he needs to actually sign along the dotted line and become Chelsea boss.

The Daily Mail believe that official announcement could be imminent, so stay tuned to, we’ll let you know any updates on the situation as soon as they come.
