Two Chelsea players were included in the FIFPro World XI at ‘The Best’ awards yesterday evening, and there’s no prizes for guessing who made the cut.
Eden Hazard and N’Golo Kante were all voted into the side by their fellow professionals, putting them on par with the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi and this year’s award-winner Luka Modric.
The pair did not have the best season on a club level with Chelsea, but their performances a the World Cup for their respective nations more than earns their spot in this illustrious side.
France won the competition, while Hazard was influential in guiding Belgium to a third place finish. Had the Red Devils reached the final, Hazard would likely have been named player of the tournament.
Both players have been credited for their superb individual performances with a spot in the FIFPro World XI. Can you imagine these players all playing in one team? It would be unreal!
