Mesut Ozil is a doubt for Chelsea’s visit to Arsenal in the Premier League on Wednesday.

According to Football.London, the German international has a knee problem that may keep him out of action for the fixture.

Ozil wasn’t included in the Gunners’ squad as they played West Brom on Sunday.

Sources from the Arsenal camp described the 29-year-old’s injury as ‘slight’, as Football.London reports. This means that there’s still a chance he could be available for the match.

If opposition manager Arsene Wenger decides to play Ozil, this could affect the midfielder’s performance against Chelsea.

Blues must take advantage of potential Ozil absence

Arsenal are still a threat without Ozil having players like Alexis Sanchez and Alexandre Lacazette in their team.

However, Ozil is the man that really makes Arsenal tick and when he plays well this boosts the displays of his teammates.

The pressure will certainly be lifted from our defensive players if Ozil isn’t ready to play against Chelsea.
