Federico Pastorello, the agent of Chelsea head coach Antonio Conte, believes that his client will respect his contract at the Blues, The Metro reports via RAI Sport.
Tensions with the club’s board along with spells of poor results have put the Italian under the media spotlight.
Despite the ship being steadied for now after comfortable wins against West Brom and Hull City, there’s still the expectation that Conte will depart the club by the end of the season.
When speaking to Italian TV channel RAI Sport, Pastorello cleared up Conte’s situation at Chelsea and revealed some positive news for the Blues faithful.
The Metro quotes Conte saying:
“I see him at Chelsea next year, as he has a contract valid for another season-and-a-half and doesn’t like to leave things unfinished.”
The next three games against Barcelona, Manchester United and Manchester City are massive for Chelsea and Conte.
The champions will need at least a win in one of these games to brush the negative public attention surrounding Conte and the team under the carpet.
