Chelsea manager Antonio Conte admits he feels the pressure for every match, even when his team were top of the table last season, Sky Sports reports.
Things aren’t as rosy for the Italian so far this season. The Blues are fourth in the league and there have been constant talks about Conte’s future away from the club.
When speaking in a pre-match press conference earlier today, Conte says that he always feels the pressure to win games, as Sky Sports reports.
Sky Sports quotes Conte saying:
“I’m a passionate man, I have a great enthusiasm and I need to feel this type of pressure, I was born with the pressure.”
After the 3-0 loss on Tuesday in the Champions League against Roma, Conte as well as his team certainly felt the pressure. Fans haven’t held back on their views of Chelsea’s performance, perhaps the worst since the 48-year-old took over as head coach.
Conte will look to have some of that pressure off his shoulders in the hope we can beat Manchester United on Sunday.
Another defeat and the heat will continue to rise as the weight on Conte’s shoulders will get heavier and heavier.
