Premier League Trophy

Chelsea of course finished last season in impressive form that included picking up the Europa league trophy as they beat rivals Arsenal 4-1 in the final. This has led to them being well supported by punters using the latest sign up offers at betfair. Chelsea are as a big as 40/1 to land the Premier league this season and around 11/8 to finish in the top four.

Chelsea have had a impressive pre-season that includes the 2-1 victory against Barcelona in the Saitama Stadium in Japan. This saw both Tammy Abraham and Ross Barkley get on the score-sheet in this impressive display.

Chelsea have then followed this up with a 5-3 victory away at German outfit Red Bull Salzburg. This was another impressive attacking display, which bodes well for success in the season ahead for new manager Frank Lampard. Chelsea have then followed this up with a draw away at German side, Borussia Monchengladbach.

Next up for Chelsea sees them face off against Manchester United in the opening game of the Premier league season. Can Frank Lampard make an important winning start?

This is the start of a very difficult and important period for Chelsea. They face Liverpool in the UEFA Super Cup on Wednesday 14th inside the Vodafone Arena.

Liverpool will be the favourites following their Champions league victory last season but this is a fantastic opportunity for Chelsea to pick up their first silverware of the season. Chelsea took just one point from the two Premier league fixtures between the two sides last season. However, they did defeat Liverpool 2-1 in the third round of the League cup.

Chelsea will then welcome Leicester City to Stamford Bridge to continue this difficult start to the season. Leicester have continued to invest in their squad and will be expected to be challenging in the top half of the table again this season. They will therefore be a major early season threat to Chelsea and three points could be very important.

This is also shown in the fact that Chelsea could only take one point from the two Premier league fixtures last season and failed to score in each game. However, they did beat Leicester 2-1 in the FA Cup quarter-finals.

If Chelsea can take maximum points from these games then it could be a very exciting season ahead.
