Chelsea are reportedly stepping up their attempts to replace Antonio Conte as manager.

Reliable Sky Italia journalist Gianluca Di Marzio writes that the Blues will meet with the entourage of departing Napoli manager Maurizio Sarri in London over the possibility of him taking the hot-seat at Stamford Bridge this summer.

The report claims, perhaps worryingly, that Sarri will not be present. He is, however, set to meet with Zenit in St. Petersburg sometime in the next few days, with the Russian side also interested in appointing him as manager.

Chelsea are thought to be deliberating over whether or not to keep Conte. The financial implications of sacking him are well within the equation, but the club actively seeking for a new manager heavily suggests that Conte’s time is up.

We imagine that Conte’s future will be decided one way or another before the World Cup. The club will undoubtedly be eager to know which manager they are signing players for before the transfer window really gets going.
