Leicester City winger Riyad Mahrez has reiterated his desire to leave the Foxes this summer, but insists that he is yet to receive any offers from potential suitors, report Club Call.
Club Call report that Mahrez has been linked with Chelsea, but the Blues are likely to face competition from both Arsenal and Barcelona. Despite enduring a disappointing season, interest in signing the Algerian does not seem to have died down.
However, despite interest from the European threesome, it does not appear as though Mahrez has any concrete offers to mull over. Despite that, the 26-year-old all-but confirms that he will be leaving the King Power this summer.
Club Call quote Mahrez, who reveals:
There’s a big difference between an offer and speculation, so there is nothing on the table at the moment. The chairman and I agreed that I would stay another year at the club and that he would let me leave at the end of the season. I think it would be the right time for me to leave, I have experienced everything at this football club.
There is no indication in Club Call’s report of just how much we would have to pay to sign Mahrez, but if he was able to replicate his 2015/16 form in a Chelsea shirt, he would certainly prove to be worthy acquisition.
