Eden Hazard will play no part in Chelsea’s Europa League group stage opener against PAOK on Thursday evening, report the Telegraph.
Hazard has enjoyed the best start to a Premier League season in his Chelsea career so far. Five games, five goals and two assists. If he keeps this up, he’ll (finally) force himself into the Ballon D’Or conversation.
After a busy start to the season, having not been involved during pre-season, Hazard can be forgiven for being a little worn out. The Telegraph believe that the 27-year-old has been complaining of tiredness.
As a result, the Telegraph report that Hazard has been left out of Chelsea’s trip to Greece to face PAOK in the Europa League. It looks to be a wise decision from Maurizio Sarri, who will no doubt be wary of burning out his prize possession.
Hazard will be raring to go when Chelsea visit the London Stadium to lock-horns with West Ham United at the weekend. We’ll need him at his best in order to sustain our 100% record in the Premier League this season.
