After a transfer window that left Chelsea fans pulling their hair out, it looks as though the club are looking to make up for their failures.
According to The Sun, the Premier League champions are subsidising their fan’s travel for the 6000-mile round trip to Azerbaijan, with the Blues poised to lock-horns with Qarabag in the Champions League group stage.
The fixture provides us with an extremely realistic opportunity to pick up three points in our quest to progress to the knockout round of the competition. The players should have plenty of fans there to help them along the way, too.
The Sun report that Chelsea have announced that that a package which includes travel, transfers and one night’s accommodation in a four-star hotel, available for £359, will be available to supporters if the minimum number of people required lodge their interest in the scheme. It’s great to see that the club do recognise the great lengths the fans go to in order to see their side in action.
