Chelsea winger Eden Hazard has sent out a warning to his teammates ahead of the business end of the season, report the Daily Mail.
The Belgian is very much our talisman. Time and time again when the team has been struggling Hazard has taken responsibility and dragged us through difficult moments.
After back-to-back defeats against AFC Bournemouth and Watford, we needed to bounce back against West Brom. We did, winning 3-0, with Hazard bagging a brace.
He is one of very few players in the current squad who have looked fit to wear the Chelsea shirt this campaign, and thus he has earned the right to speak about current affairs in the public eye in this manner.
We have a fight on our hands in order to finish inside the top four and subsequently secure Champions League football for next term. Hazard is up for it, and has warned his teammates of the responsibility they have, as the Daily Mail report:
“We have great players and we need to finish in the top four at the end of the season, that’s our target. We have 11 games to play between now and then and we have to give everything to achieve that.”
Well said, Eden!
