- Ruben Loftus-Cheek expected to request January loan move.
- Loftus-Cheek has struggled to break into our starting eleven.

Ruben Loftus-Cheek has found his form in recent weeks, but he appears keen on leaving Chelsea when the transfer window opens in January.
Loftus-Cheek’s experience out on-loan at Crystal Palace last season was a good one. He developed considerably as a player and as a man, thus earning himself a spot on the plane to Russia to compete in the World Cup with England.
He’s too good to be sitting on the bench, and it’s hard to see how he breaks into Maurizio Sarri’s starting eleven. Even a Europa League hat-trick wasn’t good enough to earn him a starting spot.
For that reason we can have no complaints if he asks to go on loan, as the Times believe he’s likely to do in January. They note that both Schalke and Palace would be keen to take him for the rest of the season.
Considering the timing of this report, Ruben may have had a word in his ear from Gareth Southgate about the best route to take to sustain his spot in the England squad. That ought to be his priority, not his seemingly unshakeable loyalty to Chelsea.
