Chelsea youngster Tammy Abraham has received positive comments from Brighton manager Chris Hughton, Sky Sports reports.
Abraham was called up to England’s senior squad earlier today for next week’s international break. Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Gary Cahill will also be joining him.
As per Sky Sports, Hughton praised the 20-year-old ahead in a pre-match press confernece ahead of Brighton’s match against Swansea on Saturday.
Hughton is quoted by Sky Sports saying:
“Young Abraham is one that has had good news today and has been a very good developing player.”
The 58-year-old revealed that he tried to sign Abraham on-loan in the summer, only for the striker to move to Wales for the season.
Abraham has scored five goals this season and despite his age, recent form suggests the call-up is well deserved.
England plays Germany and Brazil respectively at Wembley later this month. However, only national manager Gareth Southgate knows when Abraham will get his first international cap.
But all of this positive talk surrounding our young striker will keep the player in high spirits.
