Here we go again…
Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has one eye on the Paris Saint-Germain job, having accepted that his time at Stamford Bridge will soon come to an end, according to Duncan Castles for Arab News.
As per Castles, Conte has revealed to his close friends that he feels it was a mistake to not leave Chelsea in the summer, having won the Premier League title in his debut season in West London.
Not to question Castles’ information, but Conte has continually reiterated that he is happy at Chelsea and has very much got his head down and got on with his job. Despite that, this report bizarrely claims that he sees his future elsewhere.
Castles believes that PSG have plans to appoint a new manager at the season’s end, with Conte being told that he is on their shortlist. Of course he would be, he’s one of the best managers on the planet.
These rumours surrounding Conte’s future are becoming tiresome. There does not appear to be any immediate threat to his job, and it seems absurd that he would be flirting with a different managerial position mid-season.
