It hasn’t been a great last few days for David Luiz.
After Chelsea manager Antonio Conte casted doubt on whether the centre-back had a future at the club, the player received an injury at Cobham training ground earlier today, the Mirror reports.
Luiz was training with first team players like Danny Drinkwater and N’Golo Kante who aren’t on international duty.
The Brazilian will be trying to get in Conte’s good books after his frustration at being substituted in the 3-3 draw with Roma in October.
As per the Mirror, the 30-year-old was was clutching his knee as club physio’s came to his aid.
We don’t know how long Luiz will be out for but it’s still a blow for Conte and his team.
Hopefully, the charasmatic defender will be recover swiftly from this latest setback.
