AS Roma manager Eusebio Di Francesco has provided an injury update for his side ahead of their clash with Premier League champions Chelsea on Wednesday evening, and it could be good news for the Blues.
Roma provided us with our toughest test in the Champions League since our return to the competition during the clash at Stamford Bridge. In the end it took a brace from Eden Hazard to save the day and ensure we were not going to be left with egg on our face in front of the home supporters.
Thankfully for Antonio Conte’s side, Roma could be without several first-team players for Wednesday night’s game. Calciomercato quote Eusebio Di Francesco, who provides an injury update for his squad ahead of the clash:
“We will look at Defrel and Manolas in training today and decide if they are available for tomorrow. Schick still feels pain when he kicks the ball so he’s out. We’ll assess him for the Fiorentina game.”
Despite the potential injury troubles, Roma have a strong squad and have more than adequate players to plug the gaps. We can’t take anything for granted – it’s going to be a tough, tough game.
