Belgium manager Roberto Martinez has provided an injury update on Chelsea winger Eden Hazard – and it’s GOOD news.
Antonio Conte is due some of that, it’s been a while since he had any. The Italian has seen muscle injuries sustained by Alvaro Morata, N’Golo Kante and Victor Moses disrupt Chelsea’s Premier League title defence, and he’ll undoubtedly be praying that there is an end to his torment in sight.
Martinez will be familiar with just how frustrating it is when your players return from international duty injured, and has assured his managerial counterpart that he will not add to his injury misery.
The Belgium manager is quoted by Football London saying:
“Hazard did not train on Sunday but there is nothing serious.”
If we are going to have any chance of forcing our way back into the title race, we’ll need Hazard to be fit and firing. We have relied on him all too much in the past, but on his day, he truly is one of the best players on the planet.
