Antonio Conte

Gianluca Vialli has warned Chelsea to ‘think three times’ before making the decision to sack Antonio Conte.

Vialli has certainly earned his right to discuss current affairs when it comes to Chelsea football club. The Italian, who is close friends with Conte, won silverware as both a player and a manager during his time at Stamford Bridge.

The former Juventus forward knows all about the pressures of managing a club like Chelsea – and he held the reins prior to Roman Abramovich’s arrival in West London.

Vialli sympathises with his compatriot, and does not appear keen on Chelsea and Conte to part ways this summer, as they are widely expected to do.

He is quoted by Sky Sports revealing his belief that it would be a mistake for Conte to leave the club at the end of the season, whether that be by his own accord or a decision made by the club:

“If I was Antonio I would think twice about leaving Chelsea, if I was Chelsea I would think three times about letting Antonio go. It’s a good match and I hope it will continue.”

“I think he has done incredibly well last season, winning the championship [Premier League] which is always complicated in a competition which has six or seven clubs capable of winning.”

Do you agree with Vialli on this one, Blues? Or is it time for Conte to go? Let us know what you think in the comments.
