Summer signing Alvaro Morata has casted uncertainty in his future at Chelsea, Sky Sports reports.
The 25-year-old who joined the Blues for £57m from Real Madrid has excelled on the pitch, scoring seven goals in 10 games across all competitions.
Even though he is enjoying playing for the club, Morata has revealed off the pitch struggles and when speaking to Italian newspaper La Gazzetta dello Sport, the player revealed that living in London is stressful.
Sky Sports quotes Morata saying:
“London fascinates me with its multi-ethnicity, but I do not see myself living here for very long. Too much, too much stress, too many metropolises.”
The striker has also admitted that his wife too believes that London isn’t the perfect place to live. Both ideally would rather live in Italy or Spain.
Let’s hope that Morata can still play well despite these problems. There’s a good chance that he will feel more settled the longer he stays here.
Morata will get a taste for life back in Italy as we travel to the capital to play Roma in the Champions League.
