Inter Milan have given up trying to prise Antonio Conte from Chelsea, according to the Daily Mail.

The Daily Mail believe that Inter were keen to appoint the former Juventus boss this summer, but feel as though they are not going to be successful in their pursuit and have subsequently turned their attentions to Roma boss Luciano Spalletti.

The Daily Mail report that Inter have not given up hope of appointing Conte in the future, but do not feel it is possible at the current time. The tabloid note that he is expected to sign a new contract with the Premier League champions after the FA Cup final, and could be in for a considerable pay-rise.

It comes as no surprise that Conte is attracting interest from elsewhere, he is arguably the best manager in the world at the time of writing. Thankfully, though, it looks like he will be staying put at Stamford Bridge.
