Kylian Hazard could have a bigger role to play at Chelsea than we initially thought, but it will be off the field – not on it.
According to The Sun, his brother Eden is wanted by La Liga heavyweights and European Champions Real Madrid. The tabloid claim that Zinedine Zidane has lined up a move for the Belgium captain for next year after he spent the entire summer of 2017 side lined with an ankle injury.
This is, of course, a major worry for Blues fans. Hazard is our talisman, arguably the greatest player in the Premier League, and inarguably one of the best on the planet. If we lose him, regardless of who comes in to replace him, we will be considerably weaker.
Fear not, The Sun believe that Kylian’s arrival at Stamford Bridge could convince his brother to stay put in West London. Although he will be playing for the Blues’ development side and will most likely never make an appearance for Antonio Conte’s first-team, The Sun report that his mere presence could convince Eden to put pen-to-paper on a contract extension.
