Eden Hazard has left the door open to leaving Chelsea in the summer transfer window, report The Sun.
Hazard enjoyed his best season in a Chelsea shirt in the 2016/17 campaign, finding the back of the net 16 times in the Premier League, his best goal haul in England’s top tier since his arrival at Stamford Bridge.
He was influential in our success last term, as he was in our title challenge in 2013/14, and our title triumph a year later – if he departs, our attacking line is looking considerably weaker.
It is for that reason that these recent comments from Hazard, as reported by The Sun, are so concerning. Hazard refuses to rule our a summer departure from West London:
“Leaving Chelsea? Never say never in football, but at the moment it’s not something that’s on my mind. We all have our dreams. I haven’t spoken to Chelsea yet. To be honest, I don’t know which offers will arrive. What I know is that I still have a contract for 3 years at Chelsea.”
According to The Sun, Hazard is a target for European champions Real Madrid. We Chelsea fans are under no illusions, it doesn’t matter who you play for, it is hard to turn down Real Madrid. Fingers, and toes, crossed that he decides to stay put.
