Chelsea have received a significant boost ahead of their Carabao Cup clash with Everton on Wednesday evening.
The Toffees have been in dismal form so far this campaign, despite bringing in multiple new faces during the summer transfer window. At the time of writing they sit 18th in the Premier League table following Sunday’s thrashing at the hands of Arsenal at Goodison Park.
It has fast become clear that Ronald Koeman was not the man to halt their slump, and the club have been forced into action. As reported by the BBC, Koeman has been sacked by Everton, having failed to turn their form around.
This means that they will now be without a manager for Wednesday’s visit to Stamford Bridge, and his dismissal will certainly disrupt their preparation for the game.
Antonio Conte is likely to shuffle his pack in a bid to avoid further fatigue, but you have to be confident that, considering the situation Everton find themselves in right now, we can progress to the next round.
