Chelsea’s search to replace Antonio Conte at the end of the season has taken a massive blow.
Thomas Tuchel has beaten the Blues head coach in becoming Paris Saint-Germain’s next manager, ESPN reports.
The former Borussia Dortmund manager had been cited as a potential candidate to replace Conte at the end of the season, with reports from the Mirror stating that Tuchel had made an impression on Chelsea director Marina Granovskaia during talks over a move to Stamford Bridge.

Despite Chelsea’s best efforts, the German will replace Unai Emery at PSG even though he wasn’t a favourite for the job, as ESPN reports.
This raises the problem over slow-decision making from the Chelsea hierarchy as it’s clear that a sporting director needs to be brought in, as well as a manager.
Alternatives like Luis Enrique and Leonardo Jardim will have leaped up the club’s pecking order, but you would think this managerial problem won’t be solved until the summer.
