Chelsea striker Alvaro Morata believes his teammates must not let their work ethic drop, the club’s official website reports.

The Blues are hovering around a top four position in the table, far below our expectations after winning the title last season.

Since joining Chelsea, Morata has adjusted well to life in England, scoring six league goals in eight matches. However, despite individual performances, the team have struggled to maintain a high level of consistency. In an interview with, the Spaniard shared his thoughts of the team’s title chances.

“We need to keep working, it’s not easy but we need to give everything. We can’t afford to give other teams more points if we want to have the possibility of winning the league.”

Whilst Manchester United beat Tottenham in the early kick-off today, the pressure is on us to take the three points away from the visit to Bournemouth.

Morata and his team mates desperately need the win later today to put doubt amongst the teams above us.

Despite our chances of winning back to back titles looking slim, there’s every chance we can fight for league success later on this season.
