The transfer window is closed and Antonio Conte’s squad is now complete.
After the departures of Asmir Begovic, John Terry, Nathan Ake, Nathaniel Chalobah, Nemanja Matic and many more, Chelsea were left with plenty of work to do in the transfer window. The Premier League champions drafted in six players in total – Willy Caballero, Antonio Rudiger, Tiemoue Bakayoko, Alvaro Morata, Davide Zappacosta and Danny Drinkwater.
Conte chopped and changed, and the Chelsea’s squad looks extremely different to the one that won the Premier League title last time around.
The question on everyone’s mind – how will Conte line up for the majority of this campaign? How will he accommodate four quality central-midfielders in two positions? Will he change the back three that proved so reliable last term?
