Jorginho Maurizio Sarri

Football Italia have quotes from Jorginho’s agent which makes it very clear he would consider leaving if Juventus follow up on their reported interest in the midfielder now they’ve appointed Maurizio Sarri.

That seems a safe assumption. Having not really settled here, and with his main benefactor gone, the chance to upgrade to to Juve along with his favoured gaffer would likely be too good to turn down.

But should Chelsea sell him? On the one hand it’s a golden opportunity to cut our loses and get a big fee for a player who looks very unlikely at this stage to live up to his price tag, or even fit into the tactical schemes most managers would have in this circumstance.

On the other hand, he’s shown his quality at times, and we really aren’t in any position to be getting rid of starting caliber players.

Whoever comes in will likely want to promote players like Mason Mount, maybe use Tiemoue Bakayoko now he’s had a fresh start, Mateo Kovacic will be around, N’Golo Kante is a cert. Ruben Loftus-Cheek will hopefully be key once he returns from injury.

So would it really be that mad to sell him now, if a good offer comes in? We think it should be heavily considered by whoever is next in the hot seat.
